Water Pollution is Causing Death in Harar
and Water-Borne Disease is On the Rise!
The data obtained
in 2001 from three hospitals in the state indicates that the majority of the out and in-patients were victims of water borne diseases.
Most of the patients were suffering from Amoebic dysentery, trachoma, diarrhea, and
jardia, adding that many children under the age of five have died as a result of water-borne diseases.
